This scholarship was developed in the year of 2000 in honor of Sister Gladys Batiste. The scholarship was designed to assist Christian High School graduates financially to attend Colleges, Universities and other Institutions of higher learning. She was a dedicated member of Olivet Baptist Church who worked in all capacities at the church.
Applicants must be a member of Olivet Baptist Church and meet other criteria as well. Please review the scholarship application on Olivet’s website, for more information about the scholarship requirements.
Upon reaching the age of eighteen (18), applicants must complete a “Consent Form of Disclosure to Parents”. This is due to the Federal Education Rights to Privacy Act (FERPA). Permission from the applicant must be given to discuss scholarship information with parents or others. Please contact ministry leader for a copy of this form, if needed.
